Best Places for Living in Australia

If you are relocating to Australia, you are in good luck because many of the Australian cities rank high on the list of the World’s Most Liveable Cities. Your actual choice will, of course, have to depend on your personal circumstances such as your professional status, weather preferences and financial status. Three of the best cities in Australia are Canberra, Adelaide and Melbourne.

Canberra
If you have young children, schooling is an important factor to consider and this is what makes Australia’s capital Canberra an excellent choice. Not only does it have good schools, it also is safe and clean with access to world-class health services. Canberra also promises a lot of recreation with its shopping malls, restaurants and nightclubs. Despite being the capital city, it still manages to have an efficient transport system so you don’t have to worry about the air and noise pollution or being stuck in traffic for hours on end. Real estate prices are higher than other cities, however and although summers are warm and dry, winters are quite chilly and foggy.

Adelaide
Adelaide has hot and dry summers but its winters are pleasantly cool. It is one of the least expensive cities to live in and this is what attracts quite a few professionals here, especially teachers and nurses. Adelaide also boasts of a number of world-class universities, making it an attractive option for students. Besides, it is reasonably close to the beautiful city of Perth that has some of the greatest Australian beaches and which is often said to resemble California.

Melbourne
The weather in Melbourne is warm and dry during the summer but can be quite cold and grey during the winters. Melbourne has a strong economy and is well known for being the hub of manufacturing in Australia. It is also called the cultural capital of Australia and provides an atmosphere that is conducive to the pursuit of the arts such as music. With its excellent road transport system and reasonably priced real estate, Melbourne is naturally one of the most preferred destinations in Australia.
